The practice:
Consider a hospital-employed position
Small hospital setting in a D.C. bedroom c! ommunity
180-bed community hospital
New digital x-ray and McKesson EMR
Mostly general orthopedics
Some opportunity for sports medicine with high school athletes
Average of 36 cases per month
40% surgery, 40% out patient, 20% administration/emergency
Four physicians rotate call every 4 th weekend
1:2 weekday call
Competitive salary in the upper $300K to lower $400K range The community:
