RN Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator

More details about this occupation opportunity please read the description below. We are currently looking for an exceptional candidate to fill our Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator position. We have 5 locations in N! orthern Virginia, each focused on delivering impeccable service to exceed the expectations of our patients. We offer an excellent and competitive compensation package.
Our Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator is required to perform a variety of duties. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manages the Practice Operating Room, adhering to AORN standards of care
- Collaborates with the Surgical Coordinator in scheduling OR cases, maintaining inventory supplies and equipment for OR cases, obtaining special equipment as needed
- Provides patient care/teaching during the entire perioperative phase for all OR patients
- Provides orientation and training for clinical staff members
- Provides in-services and education related to clinical issues
- Assists the Doctors as needed during surgery
- Provides administrative support and professional direction on clinical issues
- Monitors compliance for all practice locati! ons with OSHA & AORN standards
- Functions as the Pract! ice Registered nurse for employees. This includes providing Hepatitis vaccinations and follow-up; maintaining employee health files; setting practice policies regarding blood borne pathogen exposures; arranging for medical follow up for employees after blood borne exposures; yearly PPD skin tests for all employees; maintaining accident injury records for the practice as required by law
- Schedules x-ray inspections and calibrations/equipment repairs for all offices
- Maintains instrument inventory
College Degree Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Current CNOR Certification Preferred Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia Current AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS) Previous experience in patient care setting preferred Knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application, including assessment planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care Intermittent physical activity i! ncluding walking, standing, sitting, lifting and supporting patients Required to work at any facility and be responsible for own transportation
