Description: Sentara is currently interviewing MGR, SURGICAL SERVICES right now, this job will be placed in Virginia. Further informations about this job opportunity please read the description below. Responsible for the Prep, Phase III Recovery, PACU, GI Endoscopy and Surgry Preadmission Testing.
Serves as mentor by role modeling a professional practice consistent with surgeon expectations, org! anizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness, patient safety and clinical standards of care. Possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet OR standards. Assumes responsibility, accountability for operations and success of the department. Responsible for the delivery of high quality services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Responsible for safe management of surgical patients throughout preoperative experience.
Education:
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Nursing required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years supervisory and departmental management experience.
Licensure:
Licensure in Nursing required.
Other:
Must be flexible and creative, willing to continually institute change. Flexibility in work schedule. Requires knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of operations and system’s management, human resources management, quality and customer service management and clinical! or technical knowledge of work performed in assigned areas. â! €œOn Call†may be required.
