SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
* 1 Oversees organization of Electrophysiololgy Service Specialty.
*2 Active involvement in decisions regarding EP Lab functions such as lab equipment, supplies, organization and improvements for service and patient care.
*3 Serves as role model for professionalism and patient care advocate in the EP Lab.
4 Communicates effectively with staff, supervisors, ancillary departments and all internal/external customers.
*5 Demonstrates flexibility regarding coverage of the EP and Cath Lab cases as staffing needs dictate.
*6 Demonstrates competency in circulating and scrubbing as related to the EP Lab Scope of Care
*7 Maintains current knowledge for professional growth and development.
8 Oversees educational needs for patients and families requiring Electrophysiololgy services.
*9 Provides, guides and documents nursing care in accordance with the EP Scope of Care.
*10. Effectively communicates verbal and written information, instruction or education to the patient, family members and other members of the health care team as appropriate.
11. Participates in continuous quality improvement (CQI) and monitoring.

Qualifications Â
EXPERIENCE
Required - RN with at least 2 years Cath Lab/ EP Lab experience.
Preferred - EP Lab/Cath Lab management or previous coordinator position.
EDUCATION
Required - Graduate from accredited Professional Nursing Program. ACLS certification.
Preferred - BSN Nursing, plus 5 years Critical Care experience  Â
