Carilion Clinic is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide inpatient care and routine management of CSICU and Step- Down Unitpatients for the cardiothoracic surgical service. Primarily cardiac surgery patient's during 8a-8p with cross-cover 8p-8a for thoracic service. This is an inpatient management position without OR/call requirements. 13 hour shifts with an established team of ACNP's and PA's.
Experience with placement of invasive/monitoring lines as well as chest tube insertion/thoracentesis preferred but training will be available. Requirements: Graduate of an accreditedPhysician Assistant Program Current or eligible for a Virginia statePA license Basic life support certification required Advanced life support certification required Qualifies for malpractice insurance and is accepted by Carilion Health System's malpractice insurance carrier.
