We are looking for a Licensed Vet Tech or Assistant with experience to join our clinic in Forest, VA a suburb of Lynchburg in Central VA! .
- This individual will fill a leadership position in the practice which will include helping us continually progress and stay on the forefront of veterinary medicine in our area.
- A passionate interest in progressive changes in the industry is a must. We want to hear about new technologies, procedures, or systems from you before anyone else. We want someone that is extremely capable and a diligent worker, always willing to help out where needed.
- Excellent client service and communication skills are critical both over the phone and in person. You must be an educator. Will be asked to contribute heavily as an In-Room Tech.
- Management skills are not required but are of an additional interest as we would like someone capable of being a leader; directing other staff members on procedures, educating them on client service, implementing new ideas from mgmt, and in general keeping things organized and professional.
- First intervie! w via Skype if not within easy driving distance
- In room client appointments: Education, discussing importance of our recommendations, making clients feel at home, assisting the vets
- Treatments/Surgery: From therapy laser treatments to routine blood draw to dental procedures to fecal analysis to monitoring anesthesia to x-rays, etc.
- Posting medical notes & history as well as invoicing work completed efficiently and accurately
- Understanding the recommendations of the practice and communicating these with the other Techs & Receptionists, constructively correcting errors
- Staying up-to-date on latest technologies, procedures, drugs, etc. and making recommendations to management on progressive moves for the future
- Though not required often, assisting in either the kennel or reception
