JOB OVERVIEW
Under the Food Service Manager supervision, the Juice Bar Clerk performs the following duties:
TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and provide prompt courteous customer service
- Prep fruits and vegetables for fresh juices- continuous as needed (Must be able to read and understand recipe’s in English)
- Make fresh juices using electric juicers
- Assist customers with questions and product selection
- Completes customer orders in a timely manner
- Maintain juice bar department area clean and sanitized
- Maintain safety of work area
- Assist in the deli as needed
- Follow departmental procedures for safety, proper food handling, and sanitation according to local, state, and federal health code regulations
- Use a cash register
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:
Training/Education:
- A High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate
Knowledge of:
- Customer service techniques
- Verbal proficiency of the English Language, and be able to read and write English at a basic level
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Bending & lifting up to 50 pounds
- Move stock from storage to shelf/preparation areas
- Repetitive movement, cutting veggies and fruit with a knife
- Daily work with knives and other sharp items
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time
Special Requirements:
- Must be available to work various shifts as needed including weekends.
