Position Overview

We are seeking a high energy, strong leader to fill the role of President responsible for our employees, customers and software portfolio focused on the private and independent school market.

The President is responsible for driving company topline performance, customer relationships, employee productivity and bottom-line profitability of the business by developing effective methods and strategies. The candidate should have experience leading leaders within a B2B Software as a Service company, strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of leadership qualities which ultimately drive results.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Position Summary
  • Leadership & Operational Strategy: Build, manage, support, and monitor the team within the organization across direct and matrix reporting lines. Report outlook, results, and business unit initiatives to the executive leadership team on a regular basis. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans. Manage team development, by cultivating individual talents and through successful motivation, and leadership, by building strong relationships that facilitate team success. Facilitate coordination and communication between functions.
  • Financial: Own and execute results to achieve P&L targets. Review financial statements and key metric data to drive growth and improve profitability. Prepare and control operational budgets. Plan effective strategies for the financial well-being of the company and ultimately deliver financial performance to the executive team.
  • Best Practices: Drive change initiatives, as required to improve efficiencies and execute business commitments. Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitor adherence to external rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Management Execution: Provide guidance and recommendations for staffing and organizational design based on growth and efficiency targets. Organize recruitment and placement of required staff across sales, marketing, R&D, services, product, and support. Establish organizational structures. Delegate tasks and accountabilities. Establish work schedules and routine review of key performance indicators. Supervise staff. Monitor and evaluate performance.
  • Product: Inspire and drive product roadmap based on customer input, sales, and retention objectives. Develop pricing strategies to drive earnings growth. Monitor customer adoption and feedback through Net Promoter Scores. Ensure timely release of product features and tight go to market execution to ensure ROI and customer value.
A Day in the Life
  • 15+ years’ experience at a B2B SaaS Software Company in a P&L leadership role
  • Proven track record in business transformation, integration of companies post- M&A
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Fluency in SaaS software success KPI / metrics across sales, product, support, implementation
  • Experience driving measurable outcomes in customer retention, customer satisfaction in a high volume, multi-product customer environment
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices
  • Experience motivating, communicating, and driving high levels of accountability in a remote-first environment

  • Ability to “make things happen”, have a demonstrated track record of fast decision making, detail orientation, results orientation, and high energy, all needed to lead one of our businesses.
  • Comfortable with uncertainty, as well as able to make progress on a variety of fronts without all the necessary information.
  • Ability to synthesize information and create a vision for staff and customers, exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfort level in speaking to other top executives, serving as a point of escalation and or executive sponsor in a client facing capacity.
