Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is inviting applications for a qualified, experienced cardiac surgeon in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Qualifications: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery. The candidate should have strong interest in academic research and administrative duties, and will be actively participating in teaching of students, residents and fellows. This candidate should have expertise in all cardiac surgical procedures with special interest in the treatment of aortic disease pathologies in! cluding aortic valve, aortic root, and all thoracic and abdomi! nal aortic aneurysms, as well as expertise in endovascular management of aortic pathologies and structural heart. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with credentials and experience. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU is required.
