Summary of RoleThe Residential Service Dispatcher is responsible for delivering an amazing customer experience, both internally and externally, while exceeding performance targets. The Residential Service Dispatcher supports the Residential Service Department. The Service Dispatcher assists with scheduling service work and is responsible for moderately complex coordinating and directing activities of operational resources. They are also responsible for customer interaction, communicating with the Field Technician Supervisors, and coordinating jobs with internal personnel. The Service Dispatcher is customer-focused, people-oriented and motivated to deliver excellent outcomes for customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with scheduling service appointments and follow-up calls
- Assist with answering incoming phone calls
- Provide complete and accurate information on service orders
- Generates Work Order Documents and notifies customers
- Responsible for customer interaction/satisfaction
- Creates and updates dispatches and service work requirements in client portals
- Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required
- Other tasks as assigned by Dispatch Manager
General Skills/Competencies:
- Experienced in Routing and Scheduling Software
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
- Proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high paced environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) months to two (2) years previous experience in a customer service role is desired
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently to proactively resolve problems and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work outside of standard business hours including weekends and evening hours to meet the needs of our customers
- Spanish speaking is a plus
Experience:
- 2 years of customer service experience
- Excellent communication
- Microsoft Office
- Salesforce preferred
