Family Practice Physician - (PCP - FP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 10/16/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day!
Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician needed in Virginia Outpatient clinic for an assignment starting Mid October. This job opportunity offers a 2 day a week schedule 8hr days. The physician must be well versed in a Primary Care setting.
Family practice physicians(locum tenens) are usually the first point of contact for people seeking medical care. These doctors must be able to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions, ranging from broken bones to more exotic illnesses. Family physicians often care for families across generations and are an integral part of many people's lives. In cases where more specialized medical care is needed, a family practice physician will refer their patient to another physician for more focused care.
Required Qualifications
VA licensed Internal Medicine or Family Practice physician (OUTPATIENT) needed (ASAP) 10/15 - 6 month assignment (May Extend). SCHEDULE: Tues & Thurs - 7:3! 0a or 8a-5p, No call Type of Patients seen: 100% Adult, 3ppd, ! 100% scheduled. Typical Case Seen: Executive Corporate Exams will include Comprehensive Medical Health Assessments, Health Risk Assessments, physicals, and follow up visits. Executive Corporate Exams are extensive but are individualized according to age, gender and specific needs. This exam is offered exclusively to Corporate Clients. Executive Corporate Exam typically requires four hours of the patients' time. The provider will take a proactive approach to illness and premature aging that will help the patient identify their risk of future disease and create a personalized program to improve their health and maintain an active lifestyle. Support Staff: Front office, RN's, and Dietician. EMR Charting: In house system
