MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Description: Sentara is currently interviewing MEDICAL ASSISTANT right now, this position will be placed in Virginia. Detailed specification about this position opportunity please read the description below. Sentara Vascular Specialists is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to work in the Hampton area. Must be willing to travel to other locations.
Job Summary/Purpose :
Perform patient care relat! ed tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, NP/PA, RN, or LPN. Perform administrative duties, as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred.
Experience: One year experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Surgery experience a plus.
Licensure: BLS CPR required.
Additional Information :
Candidates must have strong clinical skills and be able to work independently and together with a physician. Prior experience in phlebotomy, injections, and patient triage preferred. Hospital Corpsman will be considered.
