The Senior Manger - Area Sales Director is responsible for the development, maintenance, leadership/direction and the sales/distribution of LifeNet Health BioImplant! s within their assigned geographic area. The position is the key management contact for the Regional Managers and is therefore responsible for sales performance, management/accountability, strategic sales plans, hiring/development and insuring focused attention to regional activities. The position is a key management contact for Alliance Partners, Distributorships, Hospital Systems and Corporate Level Management within Strategic Accounts. The sales performance to objectives of the Regional Manager group resides with the Senior Manager â" Area Sales.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Develops, implements, and monitors an effective strategic sales & account development plan for LifeNet BioImplants with the Regional Manager Group.
2. Develops a strategic sales plan and holds accountable the Alliance Partners and Distributorships to the sales objectives assigned annually, quarterly and monthly.
3. Supports the identification and development of LifeNet marketing ! materials.
4. Facilitates Professional Services staff meet! ings on a regular basis to support department employees.
5. Interfaces with Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) and hospitals in areas where LifeNet has contracted to recover, process, or distribute MS tissue to develop and maintain good relationships.
6. Identifies and projects current and future clinical utilization needs in territory.
7. Ensures department compliance with all relevant regulatory standards.
8. Works with Regional Managers and BioImplant Specialists to verify and validate proper procedures of consultative selling, account development and planning are optimized.
9. Maintains a system of monthly Alliance Partner, Key Surgeon and Hospital contact.
10. Provides to Vice President of Sales a Strategic Plan to achieve sales with regular updates on performance and manpower needs/development.
11. Coordinates clinical and sales training with National Director of Sales Training.
12. Oversees and coordinates key pricing activities th! rough Regional Managers, National Accounts and internal departments.
13. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
14. Complies with LifeNet Health Quality Systems and Corporate Compliance Programs.
15. Adheres to LifeNet Healthâs attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelorâs Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
2. Five years of sales management of direct sales force and distributor preferably within the medical industry with documented success.
3. Experience in operating room, orthopedic and or neurosurgical experience preferred.
4. Demonstrated highly effective oral and written communication skills with competent computer skills in Microsoft Office.
5. Ability to travel (by automobile and airplane) overnights, 60%
6. Valid State Driversâ License
Frequent visits to hospitals to meet with OR Managers and Material Managers. Must maintain vendor cre! dentialing for their area.
May on occasion be required to visi! t the OR, where they may be exposed to potentially bio-hazardous material.
Must participate in annual employee surveillance program.
