Surgical Technologist

Surgical Technologist (operating room scrub technician) sets up sterile field, gathers supplies for surgical cases, based! on knowledge of instruments and equipment to be used. May pass instruments to surgeons. Performs count procedures per policy during surgical cases. Functions under the direct supervision of an RN.
Qualifications:
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment including CPR, etc
Current AHA,BLS,HCP Certification
Must achieve CST within 24 months of hire
Level and type of experience REQUIRED
0-2 years experience as a surgical technologist
Level and type of experience PREFERRED
Experience working in an acute care setting as a nursing assistant or aide, if no surgical technologist experience
Education/training REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalent
