Currently seeking an experienced! Surgical Technologist to join the team at
Inova Mount Vernon Hospital.
Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is a 237-bed community hospital located in Alexandria, Virginia. Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is proud of its Joint Commission Gold Standard Total Joint Center of Excellence and is currently working on achieving a Spine Center of Excellence. We offer a wide range of surgical, medical, critical care, and emergency services, and are well known for our exceptional rehabilitation programs. We are a Joint Commission designated Stroke Center. Our surgical services departments encompass all surgeries except for open heart and transplants. We are a growing department with seasoned and skilled staff!

A Surgical Technologist must be BLS certified (certification must be administered by the American Heart Association); possess verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to deal with multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment. He or she must have on the job training with related healthcare experience or completion of Surgical Technologist Program and/or licensed Practical Nurse Program. Job & Educ! ation Requirements:
Recent Hospital experience (2-5 years) and/or previous practice experience preferred.
Graduate of an accredited program of Surgical Technology strongly preferred.
Certification through NBSTSA strongly preferred.
High school graduate or GED required. Additional Information:
This is a Monday-Friday day shift position with weekend, night, and holiday call.
