Job Summary/Purpose:
Assumes responsibility and accountability for operational man! agement of surgery at Leigh Hospital. Areas of responsibility include fiscal responsibility, quality assurance and human resource metrics. Contributes to the development and marketing of new services and strategic planning for surgical services. Contributes to the success of the hospital through achievement of system, hospital and departmental goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelors degree in related health field or business. Bachelors in Nursing preferred. (If RN, BSN required.) Masters degree preferred
Experience: Three years demonstrated competency in management required.
Other: Must be flexible and creative, willing to continually institute change. Flexibility in work schedule. Ability to travel to other sites. Requires knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of operations and systems management, human resources management, quality ! and customer service management, and clinical or technical kno! wledge of work performed in assigned areas. "On Call" may be required.
