Job Details:
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting Physician and Nurse Practitioner in providing primary patient care and patient care management within a medical office setting. Must have the ability to draw blood, take blood pressures, weights and patient history and perform laboratory testing. Orders clinical supplies and keeps inventory current. May assist physician in minor surgeries. Gives injections, and assists physician in applying casts, splints, and dressing. Ability to work with all age groups.
Job Requirements
High School Graduation or equivalent required. Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required. Certification as a Medical Assistant required. CPR certification. Two years experience in a clinical setting preferred, primarily in a physician's office.
