Carilion Pediatric Medicine located in Roanoke, Virginia has a full time opportunity available for an ABMS/AOA, BE/BC Pediatricia! n to join a growing practice of 7 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners. Enjoy an outpatient practice providing comprehensive care from birth to 18 years of age, with hospital care for normal newborns. Call from home with a nurse triage system 4 nights per month including 1 weekend, nursery duty only, no admissions. Hospital coverage is provided by hospital based Pediatricians, Pediatric Hospitalists, Pediatric Intensivists, and Neonatologists. Pediatric expertise and support in most subspecialties to include: Allergy, Anesthesia, Cardiology, Clinical Genetics, Developmental Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology & Oncology, Intensivists, Neonatology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Opthamology, Orthopedics, Pulmonary, Psychiatry, and Surgery.
Carilion Clinic Children's Hospital is the regions only Level III 60-bed NICU, 8 bed PICU, and 24 bed pediatric unit. Carilion Clinic Children's Hospital began it's Pediatric Residency! Program in 2012 and will welcome it's second class of interns! in July 2013. The new Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute opened Fall 2010 in Roanoke and will be welcoming its fourth class of doctoral students this summer. These new programs offer an opportunity to mentor pediatric learners from many different levels.
