Detailed specification about this vacancy opportunity kindly see the descriptions. The Department of Urology is seeking a Laboratory and Research Specialist JR. The position carries out research studies, and performs and assists with experiments in a laboratory setting. The duties include performing technical assays, maintaining cell cultures, assisting with mouse surgeries, maintaining laboratory equipment, ordering lab supplies, and providing experimentation documentation. Incumbent may supervise student/wage staff as needed. A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related science is required with a minimum of one year laboratory experience. Experience may include college laboratory experience. Research experience working with small animal models is preferred. This position has an end date of March 31, 2014 and is renewable upon continued availability of funds.

4. Ability to collect data or samples.
5. Working knowledge of the theory and application of the physical sciences and instrumentation related to the field of assignment.
6. Knowledge of general laboratory procedures and equipment.
7. Some knowledge of analytical techniques in chemistry, biology, or related sciences.
8. Ability to plan and execute tasks or experiments.
9. Ability to work with small animals.
