Masters degree in Nursing- Nurse practitioner license for VA- Licensed as ANP with prescriptive authority- Advanced practice nurse experience in the care and treatment of Trauma patients- Experience with Microsoft Office- Knowledge of spreadsheet and database programs- Skilled at taking patient history, performing physical examinations- ability to differentiate normal form abnormal clinical findings and their significance- Necessary clinical skills for operative and postoperative patient management- Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with trauma surgery. Evidence based outcome analysis in the frame work of national clinical trials and database management.

Level and type of experience required/preferred:
Demonstrated clinical expertise for population served, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, advanced practitioner skills and judgment, three years in specialty setting preferred
Education, training or certification required/preferred:
License to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia, license to practice in the specialty area in the Commonwealth of Virginia, prescriptive authority when required by job title, certification in specialty area as appropriate, credentialing in accordance with medical staff by-laws for specific job title, masters degree in nursing from accredited program specific to area of practice
