Under the direction of the manager or designee, supports the functions of the unit/area by performing receptionist and clerical duties. Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent Experience: No experience required Licence/Certification: None required
Other Information
Acute Care Pediatrics is a 35 bed unit located on the 7th floor of the University of Virginia Health System. We care for children 0-21 years of age requiring acute medical and surgical care. The unit serves children with a wide array of illnesses and provides specialized care in cardiology, oncology, hematology, pediatric surgery, general medicine, orthopedics, ENT and pulmonary. Within the 35 beds, there are 23 private beds, negative airflow isolation rooms, Epilepsy monitored beds and Telemetry monitored beds. The unit is operational 24 hours per 7 days per week. Care for our children is based upon a Family Centered Care Model. This allows for one parent to be with their child 24 hours per day. Nursing staff is committed to providing family centered, age appropriate and innovative patient care through the assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment and evaluation, and education of patients from admission to discharge.
Other Information
Salary Range: $10.87- $16.85 hourly
