Product Manager - Network

As Product Manager - Network, you will you will manage the SD-WAN service within SITA Network portfolio for global ATI (Air Transport Industry) market.. You will be accountable for achieve the strategic financial and customer satisfaction objectives for the managed products. They will shape the product strategy to achieve revenue and profit growth of the products in line with the SITA strategic plans and manage the performance of the product line throughout its product life cycle.

What you will do

  • Product Strategy
    o Analyse and understand SD-WAN market trends and customer needs
    o Articulate and document the SD-WAN product vision strategy and define the target market in line with market trends, customer needs and SITA strategy.
    • Sales/Channel Strategy and Support
    o Establish and implement an effective 'go to market strategy for the products to include an agreed and executed sales and marketing plan
    o Support bid management processes and pre-sales customer interactions
    o Support Salesforces with a clear product value proposition and training
    o Act as an escalation point of contact for all commercial activities related to the products
    • Product Innovation and Development
    o Through an understanding of customer needs the competitive landscape and market trends propose product innovations as well as requirements for enhancements to existing products/services
    o Define product functional requirements
    o Guide product development project throughout the build/launch process to ensure delivery of the right product to market within the agreed timescales
    o Participate in cross-functional teams that ensure the timely/cost-effective and quality delivery of product developments and product performance
    o Contribute to the management of partnerships and supplier relationships
    o Monitor and manage the cost structure related to the product
    • Product Roadmap/ Life Cycle Management
    o Develop and manage the product roadmap throughout the lifecycle from conception to retirement
    o Track the product(s) P&L revenue new business and profitability including competitive pricing of the product(s) in the marketplace to achieve desired sales volumes/optimized profit
    o Propose product investments
    o Drive cost and revenue optimization Lifecycle activities
    • Product Marketing/Value Proposition/Market Intelligence
    o Define and develop the product value proposition
    o Responsible for all product marketing activities during the lifetime of the product including the implementation of the product launch plan promotional and collateral support plan and sales support/infrastructure plan to drive the successful acquisition and retention of customers
    o Organize run and work with user groups and other customer forums to develop customer relationships and influence market thinking
    • Product Pricing Strategy
    o Define a pricing strategy for the product(s) with the support of the central Pricing team
    o Ensure that key players understand the pricing strategy and apply it.
    • Product Performance
    o Responsible for achieving product financial customer satisfaction and business objectives
    o Responsible for managing and achieving the expected cost optimization targets
    • Product Management Practice
    o Comply with Product Management procedures and best practice
    o Act as coordinator for those working on the product development stage-gate and product projects
    • Supplier governance
    o Manage and organize the governance meetings and regular interlocks with the main suppliers
    o Participate in the supplier steering committees and act as the network team SPOC
    • Internal support to other solution lines
    o Support the internal solution lines in their sourcing of network services
    o Ensure proper recharging mechanisms are applied

Qualifications

Who you are

EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in product management for SD-WAN in telecommunications or managed service provider environment.
  • A track record of delivering results in Product Management in a global business environment and within a technology solution-based business.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies and IT trends
  • Good knowledge of Product Management Stage-Gate or other product development methodology
  • Good financial acumen
  • Innovation Skills and a track record in defining market requirements and functional specifications
  • Understanding of the latest trends and innovations within the airline/airport industry and relevant technology areas is a plus
  • Capability of leading and influencing virtual teams within a global and international environment
  • Capability of presenting clear ideas and seeking stakeholders buy-in across different functions in the company

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent in a technical business or marketing discipline is essential.
