Performs activities related to orientation and continuing education of the staff. Identifies orientation and education needs, collaborates with Manager/Director and Education Consultant to develop a plan to meet identified needs.
Minimum Qualifications Required: Education: Completion of a professional nursing education program required. BSN preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in related field required Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam. Must obtain/maintain CPR, and possibly ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications based on specific work unit.
CPR certification required Other Minimum Qualifications: Desire to! work with new employees. Keyboarding skills required for auto! mated computer systems, including electronic medical records. Ability to demonstrate effective communication and strong organizational skills. Must successfully complete orientation and competency requirements.
Must be able to meet essential job functions. Must meet standards on Performance Appraisal including competency validation as appropriate.
