Child Psychiatrist - (Psychiatry -Child) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 H! our/Day
A Full Time Psychiatrist is needed in Virginia for an opportunity that will begin in July. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30a-5p, no weekends and no call. The physician will see adults and children. Physician will perform evaluations, consults, and medication management. The site utilizes EMRs. Child psychiatry (locum tenens) involves the diagnosis and treatment of feeling, thinking, and behavioral disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families. Diagnostic assessments give attention to the physical, emotional, educational, cognitive, genetic, developmental, family, peer, and social aspects. An unified approach in child psychiatry, to effectively treat patients, may involve individual, group, or family psychotherapy, medication, and consultation with other physicians or professionals from schools, juvenile courts, social agencies, or other community organ! izations.
Required Qualifications
Open to both Bo! ard Eligible and Board Certified candidates
Preferred Qualifications
Comfortable working as a team with case managers and other clinicians
