Urgent need for a General Orthopedic Surgeon ! who is looking for a Hospital Employed opportunity. This practice need is offered by a 134 bed acute care hospital, located in beautiful Southwestern Virginia. A not-for-profit, stand alone hospital, governed by a local board of directors, and is the only hospital in the area. The County consists of 25,000 year round residents with 5,000 located in and around the country seat . The hospital has two modern, on campus medical office buildings, as well as two off campus clinics.
The Diagnostic Imaging Department is fully equipped with a 64 slice CT scanner and a GE picture archiving system (PACS). In addition, the hospital provides for mobile MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, mammography, x-ray, bone density, and an entire list of services provided on and off site. The hospital also has the CPSI electronic health record with offsite viewing available for physician staff convenience.
The current medical staff includes Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Fa! mily Medicine, Pediatrics, Pulmonology, General Surgery, Anest! hesiology, Cardiology, Otolaryngology, and Pathology.
The Orthopedic opportunity will provide the right candidate the opportunity to grow a thriving practice. The hospital will work with the surgeon to provide high quality services to the community.
This is a diversified community consisting of several educational establishments, including the College of Pharmacy, and the School of Law, and in early 2014 the School of Optometry. This city nestled in the Blue ridge Mountains of Southwestern Virginia is a beautiful, safe place to live with many opportunities for recreation. The community has excellent private and public schools, as well as several 4 year and community colleges and universities nearby.
This opportunity is for an orthopedist interested in providing basic orthopedics within the community. The office will be located in a modern hospital owned medical office. Salary is in the range of $475k , Incentives, Sign on bonus, relocation, malpra! ctice and other packages are commensurate with other physician practice startups in Southwestern Virginia.
