The Main Operating Room is looking for hourly, non benefit Surgical Technologists to work in Labor and Delivery.
Chief objective of this position and age group(s) to be served:
To function as a Surgical Technologist (operating room scrub technician) for surgeries on all age groups of patients. Assists with gathering supplies for cases. Sets up sterile field, having knowledge of instruments and equipment to be used. Passes instruments to surgeons during surgery. Performs count procedures per policy during surgical cases. Functions under the direct supervision of RN circulator.

Job Requirements
Education, training, experience:
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire
Certified Surgical Technologist (preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment including CPR, etc
AHA BLS HC P Certification or equivalent
Level and type of experience PREFERRED
Experience working in an acute care setting as a nursing assistant or aide
Education/training REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program
Additional position requirements such as shift rotations, weekends, environment, etc
Surgical Technologists work all three shifts, weekends and holidays. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your specific Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator. Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet staffing requirements or as is in the best interest of the work unit.
The unit cannot support new graduates at this time.
