Diamond Healthcare is currently hiring for a Manager of Physician Recruitment, located in the Corporate office in Richmond, VA.

Diamond’s client relationships span a diverse geographic and demographic range â€" from rural critical access hospitals to urban academic medical centers, from sole community hospitals to multi-hospital health systems, including faith-based healthcare organizations, not-for-profit systems, and for-profit hospital companies. We currenly manage 80+ behavioral health programs in over 25 states.

Responsibilities:
Recruits permanent and locum tenens Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners within appropriate time frames based on established performance standards. Manages Diamond contingent Physician / NP recruitment business line. Maintains an effective working knowledge of the physician employment process, employment agreements, compensation and benefits and relocation initiatives. Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding physician recruitment. Vendor Management - Directs the efforts of employment agencies and physician search firms including negotiating and controlling contractual relationships and employment related fees. Develops other sourcing alternatives and relationships. Initiates the placement of employment ads in various sources, to include, but not limited to, the internet, professional journals and residency / fellowship programs. Generates physician leads via cold calling and follow-up on other leads, such as responses to ads and mass mailings. Screens/interviews prospective candidates via telephone and in person at corporate office and client sites. Attends conventions, residency programs, etc. to establish links with medical academies and increase referral networks. Develop marketing techniques to cultivate name recognition, including techniques geared toward private practitioners, fourth-year residents and fellowship programs. Oversees preliminary reference checking and license verification; screens physician credentials according to client specification. Develops and maintains applicant tracking system for current and future openings. Maintains accurate records on recruiting efforts and submits reports as assigned. Develops and maintains working knowledge of the client hospitals and their communities in order to assist with candidate inquiries. Works with the on-site Program Director and Corporate Operation and Development Executives to profile positions and develop practice opportunity descriptions. Assists with the facilitation of the site visit for the physician and spouse. This may include, but is not limited to, developing interview itinerary and making arrangements for travel, lodging, meals and welcome gift. Manages cost effectively and provides input into the physician recruitment annual budget.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience in the area of Physician Recruitment. Specific experience in the Behavioral Health industry strongly preferred. Previous Operations experience working in a Behavioral Health facility desired. Exhibit a high energy level and flexibility in work schedule to meet the needs of the client. The ability to multi-task, planning, prioritizing and completing a large volume of detailed-oriented work in accordance with established timelines. Superior public relations skills with the ability to build rapport and to communicate professionally in a positive manner with physician candidates. The ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results. Strong computer technology skills to include ability to conduct internet research in an efficient, productive manner. Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems highly desired. Travel as appropriate to implement strategic initiatives, approximately 25%.
