Under the lead of the Clinic Supervisor, incumbent provides front office support for the Section of Orthodontics located in the School of Dentistry including greeting patients, performing patient check-in and check-out process, coordinating residents and faculty's schedule and patient appointment, and all aspects of patient communication including answering phone calls, emails and routing to faculty/residents for responses/follow-up. The Section is looking for an efficient multi-tasker. In addition, the Clinic Receptionist will serve as a resource to patients in explaining planned treatment, coordinating appointments in the case of complex cases, assuring insurance information is accurate, and helping explain payment arrangements. Assist in delivering mail, filing data entry and copying. Incumbent will also serve as a back-up biller. In addition, the Clinic Receptionist will work with Section Administrator to coordinate resident and faculty didactic and programmatic schedule with clinic schedule and clinic staff. Proposed staff member will also schedule seminars, arrange room assignments, copy and distribute course materials. Other responsibilities include preparing clinical performance reports for residents and assisting the Chair and Program Directors with administrative needs regarding program / clinical operations.
