The MLT / MT position is full time 2nd shift position (2:30pm â€" 11:00pm) Monday thru Friday. We are looking for a strong “Generalist†in all clinical areas to include blood bank, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urines and micro set up/gram stains. We prefer at least 2 years hospital experience. This shift is very busy from the tests request coming in from local physician offices.
We have the following equipment: Blood Bank Ortho Pro Vue automated cross-matching. Hematology Beckman Coulter LH750 Beckman Coulter Advance for coagulation and Clinitek for automated urinalysis. Chemistry Beckman Coulter LXi for basic chemistry and immunochemistry panels. Microbiology BD Bactec for blood cultures & Microscan.
Our LIS is McKesson HorizonLab, HorizonBloodBank, and Horizon Web for outreach client connectivity. The top 200 tests that we send to our reference labo! ratory are interfaced to HorizonLab for automatic reporting to! the electronic medical record.
