The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia is actively seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Practice physician. Responsibilities include caring for adult primary care patients in the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT), the VA's Patient Centered Medical Home model.
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT THE COMMUNITY BASED OUTPATIENT CLINIC IN EMPORIA! , VIRGINIA.
Work schedule: The incumbent may be required to work early morning hours or evening hours, which may include Saturday.

- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical requirements of this position include lifting, prolonged standing and sitting, frequent bending, walking (distance), climbing, reaching (overhead, extensive/repetitive), repetitive motion and stooping. The mental/sensory requirements include recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, keyboarding, reading and logical thinking. The environment's pace can vary from steady to a sometimes fast pace requiring handling of multiple priorities, frequent, sometimes intense customer interactions, and the ability to adapt to frequent changes in a sometimes noisy environment. There may be the need to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to disease, illness and hazardous materials.
