Description
Key Role:
Provide and lead data analytic and decision support services for senior executive health care management officials by designing queries against the Military Health Systems data mart or M2 database to help analyze available data, evaluate results, and formulate actionable recommendations based on received analytic requirements. Apply working knowledge of data analytical approaches. Performs broad analyses to identify business objectives and resource requirements and evaluate the associated business risks. Assist in assessing operational weaknesses, performing process improvement analysis, and developing corrective action plans. Adhere to the project schedule to meet all project requirements and client deliverables, complete assigned work activities and planned tasks within specified client time frame, assist with the preparation of milestone status reports and presentations, and apply working knowledge and ability to effectively employ a broad range of data analysis tools to maximize audit efficiency and effectiveness, including ACL, Access, Excel, and Visio.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with military health data analysis-5+ years of experience with M2 or MHS Data Repository business objects-based querying engine-5+ years of experience with working in a Military Health System support setting in a regional headquarters or Surgeon General-level-3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
- Public Trust clearance required
- BA or BS degree in Public Health, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics
- Experience with as an active duty or civil service employee in a military medical field-Knowledge of MHS business, financial, and healthcare delivery processes
- Experience with MHS personnel data, financial execution data, medical workload data, customer satisfaction survey results data, and HEDIS or clinical outcomes data reporting a plus
- MBA or MA or MS in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred
