Amentum is seeking a Communications Analyst in Spokane, WA. The Communications Analyst is responsible for providing technical guidance and assistance on a recurring basis to select personnel. You will review and study incoming reports, conduct assessments, analyze field evaluations, and examine performance data to determine and produce appropriate materials with applicable software. A successful Communications Analyst will be capable of innovative thinking, possess problem solving skills and display tenacity and resourcefulness. You will be able to express thoughts logically and clearly using verbal and written means. You work will be performed under a supervisor who provides general work guidelines, explains changes to regulations, policies or procedures and provides specific instructions for difficult or unusual assignments. This position occasionally requires work on a non-standard schedule and is performed in a general office setting.

As part of the team, you may perform the following duties:

  • Analysis: Review and study incoming reports and provide technical guidance. Analyze field reports and performance data and provide technical guidance. Produce appropriate materials based on available data. Maintain accurate database records. Strong focus on attention to detail is required.
  • General administrative functions: Maintain job tasks scheduling utilizing Microsoft Outlook. Read and respond to email, compile, and produce Microsoft Power Point slides for Taskers, Projects, and Test Plans for the weekly staff meeting. Produce reports and maintain Communications Analyst documents. Attend customer Staff Meetings and TATE, Inc. Team Meetings held at the facility. Perform escort duty as needed. Maintain personal workspace.
  • Customer support: Provide technical guidance and PR SME support for customers. Provide technical guidance for T&E projects, training exercise support and government counterparts.
  • Correspondence: Prepare and maintain necessary correspondence, communications, reports, and briefings. File documents and material; shred outdated documents and material, as necessary. Send and receive numerous unclassified and classified documents. Assist with preparing and maintaining various checklists, spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel for the Communications Analyst Section.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have an Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • Education and Experience:
  • 3-5 years’ work experience or education in any of the following fields: Specialized SERE Instruction, mathematics, computer science, English, or linguistics. (Experience working in/with the military is beneficial.)
  • Special Skills and Abilities:
  • DOD SERE Level C or Specialized SERE Course Graduate.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of Personnel Recovery (PR) related Department of Defense Directives (DoDD) and Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI).
  • Graduate of an accredited academic instructor course.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly developed attention to detail.
  • A working knowledge of MS Office software and database entry.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Requires the ability to lift small objects (up to 10 lbs). Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time working at your desk and to walk/stand for extended periods of time to escort personnel, as necessary.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.

Compensation & Benefits:

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $38 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
